William was an amazing writer who continued writing up  until his death. The Red Wheelbarrow is a short poem that it could be interpreted in so many ways but I believe that William is writing about his life. The poem gave you the impression that the author is sick and his looking outside of the house. When we are depress we use to look at the windows and analyses every detail that other do not see. William is analyzing a wheelbarrow, he compare his illness with that object.   The author is dragging his life like as a barrow. He knows his life is short, it’s been a lot of rain on his life. At this point begins to be afraid of death and feels like a chicken that fears to be slaughtered. The white chicken symbolized his life, the one that is in danger, but white also because in the phase of his lives there is no time to sin, just to penitence  and forgiveness.

Your point of view is very interesting. It is true that not always we can observe those little details that hide from us in our daily life. It sounds tragic when you mention his life has been rainy!! But in a way it can be related! Everyone has diferent perspectives!
